Tips on taking close up photograph

1. Use camera with a macro setting

most cameras have a macro setting so it's not really something to watch out for

(try to use tripod to make it kind of stable)

2. Don’t use flash

for a closeup shot the flash is too bright and may cause some bad reflections especially on shiny materials

3. Decent lighting

a light source affects a photograph in various ways, as for closeup shot the more light is better but not too harsh, a diffuse light is best which usually happens during an overcast day or inside a naturally well-lit room. (it also lessens the chance of the photograph being blurry or have a lot of noise)

4. Steadiness (use the timer)

if you hold the camera by hand or even using a tripod when you press the button it may shakes the camera a little bit which means its preferable to use the timer mode to make sure there aren’t going to be a motion blur on that lovely shot you’re taking

5. Consider your setup

when using the macro setting the depth of focus gets tighter than usual which means the camera focuses on a very narrow distance, anything closer or farther from the target area will be out of focus so make sure the item or thing you're taking a shot is within the focus area

6. Be confident

play around with your setting to find the right settings which suits yourself
